Nabeez

A blessed Prophetic drink made by soaking dates or raisins in water overnight and drinking the infusion the following morning. Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) narrated: "Nabeez used to be prepared for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a waterskin. They would put dates in it at night and he would drink it in the morning." — Sahih Muslim 2004. It must be consumed before any fermentation takes place.

Nabeez is a lightly infused date or raisin water, prepared the evening before and consumed the following morning — before any fermentation begins. It is halal and nourishing when drunk within this window. Step 1 — Clean the fruit: Rinse the dates or raisins thoroughly under cold running water. Remove the stones from the dates. Step 2 — Soak overnight: Place the dates or raisins into a clean vessel — traditionally a clay pot or gourd. Pour 1 litre of cold water over them.
