Fasting (Al-Sawm)
Fasting is one of the most powerful acts of worship in Islam and carries immense physical and spiritual benefits. The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged voluntary fasting beyond Ramadan — particularly on Mondays and Thursdays — as a means of purifying the body, disciplining the soul, and drawing closer to Allah. Modern science continues to affirm the health benefits the Prophet (ﷺ) pointed to centuries ago.
"Fast, for it will make you healthy."
