Ajwa Dates & Ground Seeds — Protection for the Heart

Ajwa dates are among the most praised foods in the Sunnah, described by the Prophet (ﷺ) as being from Paradise and containing a cure. A lesser-known practice, reported in authentic narrations, is using both the Ajwa date and its ground seed together — the seed pit is dried, ground into a fine powder, and consumed alongside the date. Ibn al-Qayyim noted the remarkable properties of Ajwa in Tibb al-Nabawi, highlighting their benefit for the heart. Modern research has confirmed that Ajwa date seeds contain antioxidants and compounds that support cardiovascular health, reduce inflammation, and protect against arterial damage — a striking confirmation of Prophetic wisdom.

"Ajwa dates are from Paradise and they contain a cure for poison. And the Ajwa date is a cure."
