Whoever has eaten garlic or onion, let him stay away from our mosque.
Onions were widely eaten and well known during the time of the Prophet (ﷺ). Its strong aroma was so notable that he (ﷺ) asked those who had eaten raw onion to stay away from the mosque until the smell had passed. (Sahih Muslim)
