Camel Milk — Sunnah Food Benefits

The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered some people to drink the milk of camels as a cure for their illness.

Islamic Significance

The Prophet (ﷺ) prescribed camel milk as a remedy to Companions suffering from illness, sending them to drink it as treatment. On the Night of Al-Isra, he chose milk over wine when offered both, and Jibreel (AS) said: 'You have chosen the fitra.' Camel milk holds a special and revered place in Prophetic medicine.

Health Benefits

Naturally lower in lactose than cow's milk and rich in unique antimicrobial proteins (lactoferrin), immunoglobulins, and insulin-like factors studied for blood sugar support. Contains higher levels of vitamin C and unsaturated fats than cow's milk. Modern research supports its use for diabetes management, immunity, and anti-inflammatory conditions.
